Trish was the recorder for the meeting.
Pedro Fonseca will be leaving HPL to join Health and Human Services and Jennifer Myer will be his replacement. With Edgar Fuentes replacing Patrick that only leaves Djuiana's position unfilled.
Drew will be providing everyone with a copy of the Mayor's memo on attendance and asking them to sign a master copy confirming they received it. He will also be reviewing their sick time and requiring doctor's notes for any sick time after 64 hours in a year.
Google Docs are going to be eliminated for HPL staff computers entirely. This means we need to begin the migration to OneDrive.
Blue Ridge was called out for not having a secure Server Room in the Manager's Meeting. Information security is becoming more and more important as Houston tries to purchase Cyber Security Insurance and as it affects our bond rating. The computers will no longer be kept in the Server Room and all doors with locks should remain locked and only accessed by appropriate staff members.
Some branches are asking Parks to do extra work when they stop by. We cannot do this even if Parks is offering.
The upcoming schedule changes to half day Saturday's means we will likely have staff from Vinson starting their Saturday's at Blue Ridge then going on to Vinson. Drew will share details as final arrangements are made and the hours are officially announced.
HOPE has negotiated a 3% (NOT 35:( ) raise for the upcoming year, a 2% raise for the following fiscal year, and a 1% raise for the year after that, with a potential 1% added on if certain property and sales tax numbers are met.
Drew began the staff Thank You's with Freda for carrying on with her Pre-School storytime amid the confusion of Wednesday's server issues. Freda thanked Tyra for helping arrange the staff birthday program, and Tyra thanked Pat for helping explain the issues with computers shutting off. We encourage everyone to find time to thank each other throughout the week, but if we get pulled away and get too busy, the staff meeting is a great time to do it.
In open discussion Pat asked to change the stat sheet to avoid having to write so many different programs that could be difficult for her to read when it came time to do stats. Drew encouraged her to try and it reminded him of the new stat.
Computer help 1 on 1 will operate like Open Job Lab in that anytime we help a customer one on one with computer questions (for example helping attach an email or a help a child find games online) we will make that person down as computer one on one help and all their questions down as reference or directional. Open Job lab related computer help will stay as Open Job lab stats.
Thanks,
Drew
